Comments:This charcoal on paper drawing depicts the first meeting of the artist's cat, Pancho, and her nephew. Both believed the upcycled toy to be theirs. As many pets would, Pancho generally remained in the outskirts of his habitat while the almost toddler visited. This day was different though; the infant had found "his" toy. A quarter machine plastic toy container with a bell inside-from a freshly demolished plushie toy. It was just round enough to roll and jingle when swatted. The child rolled the toy away playing with himself. Pancho crept up staring intently at the toy. So did the child. Once close enough to see one another's hands and paws respectively, they both looked up. Their eyes met, face to face for the first time.
