Artist: Andy Burnam

About the Artist:

After retiring from a career in head & neck/facial plastic surgery in 1998, Andy jumped into learning about the visual arts. Over the years he has studied with numerous renowned artists in Florida, North and South Carolina, as well as in Europe. His style has gradually evolved into one of pseudo-impressionism, sometimes with expressionistic embellishment. Although accomplished in three media, oils, acrylics, and pastels, he is currently working mostly in acrylics and pastels. He has done many works of animals, especially his African series. Also, has done many portraits of dogs. In Addition, he is fond of painting seascapes, landscapes, flowers, trees, and has a keen interest in western art. Andy has been shown in numerous exhibitions, many juried, and his paintings grace the homes and offices of many people throughout the country.
