About the Artist:
As former President and CEO of Scalamandre, a family-owned business specializing in the highest quality textiles, trimmings and wallpaper, I grew up in a very creative environment. I studied art at Marimount College and then Parson’s School of Art, and one year with the cubist Ozenfant who was a student of Seurat.
Belonging to an elite group of designers as a Registered Interior Designer in the State of New York, I had served as President of the Decorator’s Club of New York, as well as serving on many design industry boards. I have lectured in various museums throughout the United States as well as being the keynote speaker for many antique shows. My work has received awards in both the fields of Interior Design and in fine art.
I currently serve on the Board of the “Friends of the Vero Beach Museum of Art,” as well as the Cultural Council, and I am a member of the Vero Beach Art Club and the Sebastian River Art Club. I have been represented by the Ocean Reef Art Club, the Lighthouse Art Gallery and the Artists Guild Gallery, and my work has been in many exhibitions in both New York and Florida.
